As Don Cardwell so tellingly puts it, rodinal and this method give both hard and soft tones at the same time! I’m thus going to develop my rolls of XP2 in rodinal using this semi-stand or minimal agitation technique. I hope it will complement your full-stand method, and I’ll let you know the results.
Webb22 feb. 2012 · When using Rodinal “normally” (i.e. not for stand development), a minimum of 10ml per film is a good guideline. I’ve used much less for stand development, but that’s an entirely different approach. You need room–500ml water plus 10ml Rodinal means 510ml of liquid in your tank for each film. Having used variations of this film in various incarnations over the years on both acetate and polyester bases, I took Alex Luykx's recommendation and get some FX-39 developer CHS 100 II just sings with it.
