Web80% of all the characters were still present and they all turned out to my favorite ones from Kingfall, so I personally wasn't bothered with this unique approach to book 2 at all. I also liked the viking setting a lot more than the typical medieval fantasy setting in his other series. My only complaint was that it took me a while to get into the story of one of the POV characters. Super excited for the next one
