WebMy personal opinion is that while they are the best sounding of the HD600, HD650, HD6xx, and HD660S bunch, they are not worthy $400. They are quite neutral and have excellent mids without harsh highs and without boomy bloated bass. They are champions of the mids but with a super small sound stage.
