WebCommunications (in the plural) refers to ways of sending information to people through technology. Goals The main goal is to promote awareness and uptake of research results. Communication goals can include educating, motivating, raising awareness amongst, the members and influencing decision making in target group. WebOverall, the mass media serves four gatekeeping functions: relaying, limiting, expanding, and reinterpreting (Bittner, 1996). In terms of relaying, mass media requires some third party to get a message from one human to the next.
